Gospel Challenge to Catholic Priest at Kill Mill

March 28, 2024 by Dave 1 Comment

Gospel Challenge to Catholic Priest at Kill Mill

On March 22, 2024 I had an opportunity to deliver a gospel challenge to a Catholic Priest at the Kettering, Ohio abortion clinic. We discussed prayers to Mary, the incommunicable attributes of God and justification by faith.

Everything is within the context of a conversation on a public sidewalk. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with him. And I hope you enjoy the video.

Video: Catholic Priest at Abortion Clinic (8:06)

The Church is Not Important? Really?

In the beginning of the discussion, the Priest makes the assertion that he heard a Christian man on the abortion clinic sidewalk say, “The church is not important”. I have no idea what he is referring to and I don’t know any Christian man who would ever say that.

But in an effort to maintain integrity, I did not cut that or any portion of the interview with this Catholic Priest. I was glad to find common ground at the beginning of our discussion. And, of course, I pointed him to the true church which is not the Roman Catholic Church but consists of the elect of God.

Going Right After Their Idol: Praying to Mary

I offered Luke 11:27-28, Isaiah 8:19-22, and Deuteronomy 18:9-14 as scriptures supporting the Christian view that we do not pray to the dead.

As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” 28 But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

Luke 11: 27-28

Do You Hear the Hiss of the Serpent?

His response: I am putting limits on God. If I say that Mary and the dead saints can not hear prayers, I am limiting God. And Mary is here right now. Really?

On his view, God CAN allow them to hear our prayers to them. And he suggests that I am limiting God by saying that Mary and the dead saints can not hear our prayers.

You can become like God? Sounds familiar. Do you hear the hiss of the serpent?

Obviously, he can not defend his view from the scriptures. And he would have to deal with the scriptures I provided. In addition, he must deny all the prayers of the saints in the New Testament and Old Testament which are made to God. None are made to dead saints. And he must deny the teachings of Jesus and his disciples to pray to God alone.

Communicable and Incommunicable Attributes of God

I explained that God has attributes that God communicates to us and others that are non-communicable. We are not omniscient. We will never know everything. In addition, we are not omnipresent. Only God is everywhere. Mary is not.

He responded that, “I am making that up.” It makes me wonder if the Catholic Church has an official Systematic Theology book approved by the Vatican. And I wonder if that Systematic Theology book contains an explanation of the communicable and non-communicable attributes of God.

The Righteousness of God Comes Through Faith

Finally, I pointed out the contrast between the biblical gospel (justification by faith alone) and the Roman Catholic gospel (justification by faith plus baptism plus the sacraments plus good works). I hope we will meet again and have an opportunity to discuss this essential difference between our faiths.

Our Prayer for Roman Catholics

Please join me in praying for this Roman Catholic Priest and all his followers. Pray that they would repent and believe the true gospel.

Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Romans 10: 1-4

Gospel Provokes Murder Threat at Kill Mill

Gospel Provokes Murder Threat at Kill Mill

Short Video (:28): Gospel Provokes Murder Threat at Kill Mill

Abortion ministry is not safe. We have been threatened and spit upon. Our car and equipment has been damaged. But we are praying that Christ would be glorified as many hear the name of Christ and his call to repent and believe.

We proclaim repentance toward God for the sin of abortion while men and women walk in from the parking lot to the front door. Repentance is a hard message to deliver and even harder to receive. People don’t want to hear about God while they are going in to murder a baby. But we must warn people of the consequences for their sin.

When men and women leave the killing clinic, we proclaim forgiveness of sins that is available through Christ. We plead with them to repent and pray, “God I am a sinner. Have mercy on me.” on the way home.

This short video captures a woman who delivered a murder threat to me as she exited the killing clinic. She had already heard the call for repentance. And now she rejected my proclamation that she could be forgiven. In the video, you will hear that she threatened to come back and murder me.

Pray that she would repent of her sin and trust in Christ. God can give her a heart that loves babies and loves Him. If her threat was driven by a conviction of her sin, join us in praying that God would draw her to Him.

But God Gives New Hearts

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. 26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.

Ezekiel 36: 25-27

FC Cincinnati: Hell is Real (2023)

FC Cincinnati: Hell is Real (2023)

On December 2nd, 2023 FC Cincinnati competed before a sellout crowd of 25,513 people at TQL Stadium. The theme of the game was, “Hell is Real.”

It was a rivalry match with the Columbus Crew. And the media regularly references the “Hell is Real” theme when describing matches between these intrastate rivals.

For those who are unfamiliar with this rivalry and the “Hell is Real” theme, see this post for more details.

FC Cincinnati: Hell is Real (2023)

A Night that Demanded Enthusiastic Proclamation

Because the theme for the match was biblical, an enthusiastic proclamation of truth was demanded. If the teams were going to introduce a truth from the scriptures, we were going to take full advantage.

In the last clip, you will see an animated response from the crowd. I am not confused about the fan’s enthusiasm. It is probably more for the event than the word of God. But we are grateful to proclaim biblical truth in the open air to a large crowd.

Shall I Not Pity Nineveh, That Great City

And should not I pity Nineveh, that great city, in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know their right hand from their left, and also much cattle?”

Jonah 4:11

Jonah learned a lesson about God’s grace and mercy. And since we have received that same grace and mercy from God, we can not withhold it from others but must proclaim it to everyone around us.

According to the US Census, there are 2,256,000 people living in the Cincinnati metropolitan statistical area. And we believe that God pities the great city of Cincinnati enough to be generous with his grace and mercy. So we proclaim the truth about sin, righteousness, judgement. And we proclaim the simple gospel of Jesus Christ.

Evangelize Cincinnati

We proclaim the biblical truth around Cincinnati at Reds, Bengals and FC Cincy sporting events. In addition, we do gospel-driven abortion ministry. And finally, we do one-to-one evangelism at the University of Cincinnati.

Catholics Rage Against the Gospel … Again

December 4, 2023 by Dave Leave a Comment

Catholics Rage Against the Gospel …. Again

Catholics rage against gospel … again. This video was taken at the Kettering, Ohio abortion clinic. Watch several intense encounters in the 3:34 minute video (below) from November 15, 2023.

The raging Catholics make multiple claims including: we are “butchering Christianity”, “scripture is our God” and “the devil has a hold on us”. Also, the Catholics objected to Bryan Fox and his son taking pictures of them while they kneeled in prayer to Mary on a public sidewalk.

I think you will agree that Brian demonstrated grace as an ambassador of Christ.

Finally, you should know that Brian offered the true gospel and proclaimed many scriptures to the abortion customers and the Roman Catholics on the sidewalk that day.

Three Minute Video: Catholics Rage Against the Gospel … Again

I offer this video to edify the body of Christ. As you know, Christians are called to make disciples by proclaiming the gospel … even when the gospel is contested.

If you appreciated this video you may be interested in the original video: Catholics Rage Against Gospel Proclamation.

Prayer Request

Join us in praying for all to hear the word of Christ and trust in Him alone. We proclaim repentance and faith every day to abortion clinic mothers, fathers, workers and protestors.

Although most do not have ears to ear the gospel (Matthew 13:15) , we know that God’s word will not return empty but will accomplish the purpose for which he sends it (Isaiah 55:11).

We Love Catholics

Because we love our Catholic friends we pray for them to be saved. Many are drawn to protesting abortion. Obviously, we are grateful for their zeal for the unborn. But we want them to know the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

And most Catholics at the abortion clinic are not like these guys. Some are willing to engage in respectful dialogue. And we rejoice that we have had some opportunities to share the gospel.

But we must proclaim the true gospel to all who believe a false gospel. And we must call them to repent before it is too late.

Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.

Romans 10: 1-3

Why Do We Continue When Catholics Rage?

Jesus preached many times to raging Pharisees. And he went to Jerusalem knowing what his enemies would do to him. The prophets of old proclaimed the word of God at the gates of the city knowing they would be abused. Paul faced much opposition (Acts 21-26) and was beaten many times (2 Cor 11:24). George Whitefield preached to large crowds even when they threw dead cats at him.

We too are commanded to speak before hostile crowds. Why? Because God gets the glory. And He ordains the ends as well as the means. For we know that there is joy in heaven when one sinner repents. And faith comes from hearing the true gospel. So we go and make disciples by proclaiming the gospel of Christ. We just have no way of knowing who God is drawing to himself so we proclaim the truth even in the face of opposition.

As long as Catholics are on a public sidewalk and we have free speech rights we will proclaim the true gospel and pray for God to save them. Christ’s sheep will hear his voice.

Evangelize Cincinnati

We proclaim the law and gospel around Cincinnati. In addition to gospel driven abortion ministry, we proclaim the truth at Reds, Bengals and FC Cincy sporting events. And we do one-to-one evangelism at the University of Cincinnati.
