Gospel Provokes UC Fan

Watch the one minute video below: Gospel Provokes UC Fan. On November 4th, 2022 about 40,000 fans had an opportunity to hear the gospel as they entered Nippert Stadium. These University of Cincinnati and Navy fans were there to witness the football game. But we proclaim the simple gospel so they might hear the good news.

The angry man in the video could not help himself. He shouted and gestured wildly in response to hearing the gospel. For us, this is nothing new. We expect the gospel to provoke sinners.

But then, to our astonishment, a woman approached us and apologized for the man’s behavior. We were more than a little surprised. Perhaps she was taken back by his rudeness.

Nevertheless, we are praying that God would grant both the man and the woman in the video repentance and faith in Christ. We know that God offers peace to those who surrender to Him.

Gospel Warning

Listen to this two minute gospel warning at the kill mill. It is a personal, passionate plea that everyone repent and believe.

We labor daily at the Kettering, Ohio kill mill. We are there so that men and women might hear the the warning and turn from their sin.

Please join us in praying that the man and woman we spoke with in this video would share the gospel with the Mom they drove to the kill mill. He is our only hope.

Romans 10:8-9

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

The revelation of God is near to us. We have the inspired word of God. And the word of faith that we proclaim is this: repent and believe the gospel.

Do You Think Anyone Will Listen to You About Sin?

On October 8, 2022 we encountered this woman at the University of Cincinnati football game. She was triggered while hearing the law of Moses and the gospel of Jesus Christ. And she asked the question: Do you think anyone will listen to you about sin? Watch the two minute video below.

Eric pointed to the scriptures and was prepared to engage. But, as you will see, this woman was not really interested in a conversation. As a matter of fact, she pulled headphones over her ears as she left. Join us in praying that God would give her ears to hear the truth of the gospel.

Christians know that God ordains the ends as well as the means. Sometimes he uses the foolishness of preaching to save some (1 Corinthians 1:27). We strive to be faithful and leave the results to God.

For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,

so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

FC Cincy Fans: Hell is Real

FC Cincinnati hosted the Columbus Crew on August 27, 2022. The interstate rivalry matchup is known by fans as the “Hell is Real” match. See the two minute video below.

Hell is real. But Jesus and his gospel are also real. Praise God who rescues sinners from hell.

Why do Ohio fans call the match, “Hell is Real”?

There is a sign between Columbus and Cincinnati that reads, “Hell is Real”. So travelers to the annual match between Columbus and Cincinnati can’t avoid the gospel truth.

Here is a Columbus Dispatch link to more information about Jimmy Harston, the Christian man behind the billboard. He has put up 20 billboards. His goal is obey Christ.

Apollos Watered …

Jimmy Harston did his part. He planted a billboard that thousands of fans see.

We watered by proclaiming the gospel. We attempt to make a personal, passionate plea. And we point fans to the cross of Christ.

Now we pray that God will give the growth. He will work and will to His good pleasure. For he is mighty to save.

What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.
