On August 24, 2022 My Chemical Romance fans mock the gospel outside the Heritage Bank Arena in Cincinnati. See the three minute video below.

The gospel affects people different ways. Some accept the gospel and some reject the gospel. But these concert fans rejected the gospel AND danced in rebellion. And it was a shock to see them ridicule the gospel.

So we are praying that these people repent and believe in Christ for salvation. For He is mighty to save.

FC Cincy Fans Hear Mercy Message

Mercy for FC Cincy Fans

On August 13, 2022 FC Cincy fans heard the message of Jesus Christ. We proclaim that God has mercy for sinners who repent and believe the gospel.

According to FC Cincinnati.com, a sellout crowd of 25,037 attended the match at TQL Stadium. Many heard the gospel proclamation. See the one minute video below.

As you will see from the video, the crowd is impressive. And according to worldfootballnet.com, FC Cincinnati is among the Top Ten in Major League Soccer attendance. With an average of over 22,169 fans per match, the opportunity to proclaim the gospel is compelling.

The fan base appears to attract a younger crowd and many are presumably secular. Although we receive encouragement from a few Christians (as illustrated in the video), most of the reaction to gospel proclamation is critical and skeptical.

But we know that God is sovereign over all things including the gifts of repentance and faith.

So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.

Bengals Fans: No Middle Ground

On August 13, 2022 Bengals fans heard the gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed in the open air. And they heard this declaration: “There is no middle ground”. See the one minute video below.

Many heard the gospel. According to Bengals.com, Head Coach Zak Taylor said, “It’s as good a crowd as I’ve seen for a preseason game”. And Kelsey Conway posted that 60,760 attended the game.

We proclaim the law of Moses and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Please join us in praying for fruit from this outreach. See the one minute video below.

Gospel Proclamation Prompts Call to Cops

“You Can’t Do That Here”

On July 6th, 2022 concert goers in Cincinnati heard the gospel. See the 3 minute video: Gospel Proclamation Prompts Call to Cops.

This concert event was at the Brady Music Center on The Banks in Cincinnati. The venue capacity is 4,500 indoor and 8,000 outdoor. And it is attractive to us because the people wait outdoor in long lines.

We are praising God that He opened a door for the word to be heard. Obviously, many of these screaming fans were actively engaged.

What About the Police?

As you will see, the video contains an interaction with authorities who attempted to stop the gospel from going out. They promised that police would be called.

And about twenty minutes later a Cincinnati Police Officer did cruise by. But he did not stop or ask us to stop proclaiming the gospel. There was no real problem.

As you already know, free speech is guaranteed by the Constitution in the United States. And gospel proclamation on a public sidewalk is protected speech. It is a perfect place to proclaim the gospel.

Encouragement for Christians

If you are interested in proclaiming the simple gospel message in the open air, I would like to offer you some encouragement.

First, I will assume that you are connected to a solid Bible believing church. And you read your Bible daily and pray for God’s leading.

To get started, I would recommend that you speak with your Elders about your interest in this area. They will confirm your understanding of the simple gospel message and they may give you opportunities to learn and grow.

In addition, you may want to consider reading Arnold Dallimore’s two volume book on George Whitefield. You can’t help but be inspired and grow in confidence that God uses open air proclamation.

Lastly, to those who are interested in reaching the large crowds at sporting events in your area, investigate Sports Fan Outreach International. They can connect you with other like-minded gospel men who proclaim the gospel in your area.
